What if your Bible cost a week’s wages?

For millions of our Christian brothers and sisters in Uganda, that is the reality.
A Bible costs around £8 (the equivalent of a week’s wages).

And with 59.8% of Uganda’s population living on just $2.15 a day, a Bible can feel like an impossible luxury. Yet 84% of Ugandans identify as Christian.

Their plea is simple:
“We need Bibles.”

Think of your own Bible.
Perhaps it has been with you for decades. Perhaps you have turned to its pages in moments of joy, sorrow, grief and uncertainty. Perhaps God's Word has carried you when nothing else could.

Now imagine longing for that same hope — but having no Bible of your own.
As Christians in Scotland, we have been blessed to have God's Word within reach.

Will you share that blessing with a Christian brother or sister in Uganda?

We are delighted to celebrate the Mongolian Union Bible Society () launching the Mongolian Standard Version (MSV) – a new translation for modern Mongolians in the Khalkh dialect, representing over a decade of hard work. Translating the Bible from the original biblical languages into Mongolian by an all-Mongolian team for the very first time. Our Chief Executive, Elaine Duncan was in Ulaanbaatar to celebrate the team on this momentous occasion.

Every conversation shared...
Every act of kindness...
Every invitation offered...

A seed scattered into someone's life.
The question isn't simply whether we're sowing.

It's whether we're becoming good soil ourselves.

Despite wildfire, Refuel festival is going ahead and we are excited to be here to see you.
There are bags of discovery for kids (come and get them each day), and lots of activities to experience - come and see us!

Great to hear children and families talking about Jesus as they built and created a story from Mark chapter 1 today. I wonder what you think is most important from this story... Jesus teaching the crowds or going somewhere quiet to pray? Let us know in the comments.

Are you in your twenties, interested in learning more about the Bible, and want to spend more time out in the Scottish highlands?

We are coming together from across the United Kingdom to dig into the Bible and encourage each other in faith. We believe God’s Word unites us, restores us, and re-ignites our faith, and we want to seek God through His Word together.

Spend a weekend in the wild, take a plunge into high octane adventure, and rediscover the Bible as the fuel for every step you take. Join us for amazing activities, astounding natural beauty, and new friends, and feel your faith come alive.

Someone said yes to giving.
Someone said yes to praying.
Someone said yes to translating.
Someone said yes to carrying God's Word across mountains, deserts and rivers.
And because thousands of people said yes...
7.6 billion people have some scriptures in languages they can fully understand.
By supporting the United Bible Societies fellowship and us, you will be helping God's Word take root in hearts and communities across the globe.

You'll probably never meet the young woman who received a Bible in her own language.
Or the father who now reads Scripture with his children.
Or the prisoner who found freedom long before walking out of a prison gate.
You'll probably never know their names.
But God does.
Every Bible shared is like a seed scattered into unseen soil.
Some will take root immediately.
Others will grow quietly over time.
Thank you for sowing faithfully with us and with our United Bible Societies family around the world.
Your generosity is helping God's Word reach those who need it most.
Because every harvest begins with a seed.
