We are very much looking forward to attending the Armed Forces Community Big Day Out tomorrow at Edinburgh Napier University.

Megan (one of our staff members) and Guy (one of our trustees) look forward to having a chat to people and sharing info on the work we do with the armed forces community.

We’re keen to connect with others in the community so we can continue to support and meaningfully signpost to relevant organisations.

Our support for the armed forced includes free access to our New Ways for Families training programme for separated parents, for both serving personnel and veterans.

Come say hi and have a chat to us about how we can support you!

🌎 An international addition to our casework! ⚽️

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Our view, of course, is that Scotland has a right to a relationship with both cities! 🇩🇪🤝🇺🇸

Scotland benefits from having a good relationship with both the city of Boston and the city of Cologne, just as children benefit when they have a good, loving relationship with both their parents.

🔎Article 9 of the UN Convention on the Rights of The Child, which the Scottish Parliament adopted in 2024, states that “children whose parents have separated have the right to stay in contact with both parents, unless this could cause them harm.”

To avoid prolonged, expensive, traumatising custody battles, we recommend New Ways For Families, our online course designed to help separated parents learn key behavioural skills to support themselves and their children through separation.

📢 Ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday, we are sharing the which is now live 📢

We believe every child has a right to both parents, and so if you’re a father we encourage you to take five minutes to fill out the survey at the link below to help create a snapshot of the issues dads face as parents

Fathers Network Scotland say:

“Every day, fathers across Scotland are supporting their children, partners, and families. Yet too often, their experiences, challenges, and perspectives go unheard.

By understanding what matters right now, we can better inform government, public services, and employers about the support dads and their families truly need.

This short survey takes just 5-10 minutes to complete and aims to create an authentic snapshot of Scottish fatherhood, listening to how dads have felt over the past year and what matters to them.

If you’re a dad, we’d love to hear from you! We want to hear from fathers from all walks of life, across backgrounds, communities, and family situations so we can better understand and advocate for dads across Scotland.

🫶🏻⚽️ Lovely to see the Shared Parenting Scotland-sponsored Cumbernauld Colts Under-10s team enjoying themselves at a local match today!

🫶🏻With mums, dads, grandparents and other caregivers cheering from the sidelines, it was a great reminder of the positive role that families and communities play in supporting children to thrive.

⚽️From everyone at Shared Parenting Scotland - congratulations and well done, girls! ⚽️

✨Volunteer Spotlight ✨

Guy Holloway

👏This is and we would like to say a special thank you to our

👉🏼Our Board is a group of people from diverse backgrounds with experience of separation. It includes professionals and those from a family law background, dedicated to ensuring Scotland’s policies and practices allow for a child’s right to both their parents to be realised.

🤝Guy Holloway, a long serving trustee, joined our new “resources” group of trustees in 2025. In 2026 he has been volunteering his time with outreach - and most recently - providing additional helpline support. If you phone in every other Monday you might just get Guy! With a background in the NHS and a calm head he’s been massively beneficial to the team.

👉🏼All our trustees are unpaid - volunteering their time, wisdom and experience. We are tremendously grateful.

Happy one and all!
