UN House Scotland promotes UN values throughout civil society within Scotland. Peace, International Security and Human Rights are the pillars of UN House. "The term civil society implies a wide array of non governmental and not-for profit organisations that have a presence in public life, expressing the interests and values of their members or others. This is based on ethical, cultural, political,

scientific, religious, or philanthropic considerations." UN House promotes connections between representatives above, particularly when concerned with collective movement towards strengthening international peace and security. Chatham House Rule based seminars produce world class policy advice helping increase understanding and communication.
