Girlguiding Edinburgh Official account of Girlguiding Edinburgh. We support more than 4,000 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers across the city. We give them a space to have fun.

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. We build girls' confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. What makes guiding special? We are for all girls:

Whatever their background, faith, or circumstances, we offer fun, exciting activities and the chance to make lifelong friends. We give girls their own space:

During the summer, Guides and Rangers from Cramond and Stockbridge joined up to take part in Poacher jamboree in Lincoln.

Throughout the week they took our motto that ‘girls can do anything’ seriously and had fun doing activities like zipline, biking, sailing, climbing, water sports, segways, diggers, archery, crafts and learning bushcraft skills.

There was also lots of evening entertainment including the Poacher’s Got Talent show and a fireworks display.

Earlier this month, both the 202 and 202B Edinburgh Brownies started the new term doing their annual watersports evening - Paddleboarding and Kayaking with Driftwood Adventure, thanks to an annual grant they get from their local sports commitee.

This is the girls’ favourite activity of all time, their leaders say. They learn so much from the 1.5 hours on the water and build their confidence and resilience, all while doing this fun activity.

We paraded up the Royal Mile at the weekend with Edinburgh Riding of the Marches to celebrate the city’s active citizens and heritage 🐴

Thousands lined the streets for the People’s Procession, we loved hearing ‘Yes they can!’ as we walked past with our banner representing Edinburgh girls and women 🙋🏽‍♀️

202A Rainbows had dinner together to end a busy term. They had some delicious crudities, garlic butter and dough balls for a starter, created their own pizzas for the main and finished it off with some vanilla gelato all washed down with unlimited squash/water. Safe to say everyone was stuffed and had a lovely evening. 🍕
