"Polish Adventures at Holy Rood RC High School!
S2 pupils explored the beautiful Polish folk art of wycinanki—traditional paper cutting—as part of their Personal Choice course run by Mr Cybulski. Inspired by the community interest collective Beetroots, the lesson explored heritage preservation, folklore, symbolism and mastery of craft, before putting creativity into practice."

Student Opportunity: Environmental Reporting Internship (Volunteer)

Are you studying environmental science, climate studies, geography, or sustainability in Edinburgh and looking for hands‑on experience?

Beetroots Collective, organisers of the Edinburgh Festival of Light, are required by The City of Edinburgh Council to complete environmental reporting for our 2027 programme. The Council encourages all funded organisations to work closely with Culture for Climate Scotland, who provide expert, Council‑funded support throughout the full lifecycle of events.

We’re looking for a student who would like to:
* Monitor environmental actions during the festival
* Collect and analyse impact data
* Work with Culture for Climate Scotland’s reporting framework
* Help prepare our first‑year report (due April 2027)
* Use the role as a university internship or placement

Main festival events run Jan–Mar 2027, with ongoing work before and after.

A welcoming space for the Polish community in Spain — and their Spanish friends — to explore Polish tradition, craft, and the joy of making art together.

This November, Robert Motyka brings Polish wycinanki workshops to Brittany with the Association Franco-Polonaise Côtes d'Armor - Warmie et Mazurie, open to the Polish community in France and their French friends and family members.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇵🇱🇪🇺🇫🇷✂
