🚌 VOLUNTEER MINIBUS DRIVERS WANTED 🧡

We’re looking to build up a small team of volunteer drivers who could help us with the Magdalene Community Centre minibus.

This could be on a rota basis or simply ad hoc when you’re available — there’s no requirement to commit to driving every week.

Our minibus will help us transport children and young people to and from activities, as well as supporting trips, community activities and events.

We’re not looking for someone to start immediately. We’re planning ahead so that we can get interested volunteers properly approved, checked and ready for when we need them.

We’re looking for people who:

🚐 Are aged 25 or over
🪪 Hold a full UK driving licence
📅 Have held their full licence for at least 3 years
👍 Are confident and responsible drivers
🤝 Would be happy to help their local community
🗓️ Can offer regular or occasional availability
✅ Are willing to complete our volunteer recruitment and safeguarding checks, including a PVG check

There’s absolutely no obligation to be available every time we need the bus. The idea is to build a list of approved volunteer drivers we can contact when journeys come up.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to MagFEST 2026 yesterday! 🎉

Whether you bought a wristband, had a go on the Tombola or sideshow games, joined in the bingo, bought paint bombs, grabbed something from the kitchen, picked up some juice or candy floss, or simply came along and supported the day — thank you. ❤️

Thanks to your support, the event took almost £2,000, and once the main costs are covered we are currently looking at raising around £577 for Magdalene Community Centre — with that figure hopefully increasing a little once we finish sorting out the inflatable booking.

We also want to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make the day happen — setting up, serving food, running activities, selling tickets, supervising inflatables, clearing up and all the other jobs that happen behind the scenes.

Days like yesterday only work because people turn up, get involved and support their local community.

We hope you all had a brilliant day, and thank you for making MagFEST 2026 such a success. 💚

£1,988.90 raised across the day — absolutely fantastic!
