What a great day Clifton Hall School Ltd. With OWL Scotland’s Music in the Woods workshop led by the fab Kate Hookham. There were jingles, jangles, tools & more. There was even a wee bit of sing’in in the rain ☔️ 🎶

🌲 Winter Skills Share 🌲
What an amazing day we had yesterday at our MEOWL Winter Skills Share! After a quick committee catch-up, John led us through a fantastic tools workshop, where we made our very own wooden vices.
Next, we headed out for a woodland walk around the grounds of Clifton Hall School Ltd. and discovered the incredible versatility of the humble acorn—from sampling acorn “coffee” to flipping delicious acorn flour pancakes!
After lunch, creativity took center stage with woodland crafts: wooden reindeer, pinecone gonks, woodland creatures, and even willow stars—many crafted using our handmade vices!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their skills. We’re already excited for the next session!
