Please note that the Dunbar badminton club is now closed for the Easter break and (due to exams in the sports hall) summer season. We plan to open again on Monday 24th August. In the meantime, you can still play at the North Berwick Club on Tuesday nights and the Wallyford Club on Thursday nights. Further details on how to book sessions are available on thier respective pages and websites and of course our loacl association site on google.

Hi folks
No badminton this week (Mon 9th March) as the school requires the hall for 3 days for exams. Open again on Monday 16th March.
However the North Berwick Club will have a few spaces open on Thursday evening, 8:30 to 10 pm at the North Berwick Leisure Centre. Look for details on their page

Hi - just a quick reminder that there is no badminton tonight (Oct 13th) as the school is closed for the October break (opens again on Oct 20th again though). Why not go along to to the North Berwick Club instead on Tuesday night - details below - let us know if you are going though.

Dunbar Adult Badminton Club Season 2025/2026 return to play.

Dear members, returners and those that expressed interest over the past few years.

Opening night will be MONDAY 25TH AUGUST from 7:45pm for the usual 2 hour period.

I have now had confirmation from FES that we can use the Dunbar Grammar School sports hall from Monday 25th of August from 7:45 to 9:45pm. We will have 4 courts available for play.

For those that enjoy a little competitive play we plan to enter at least 1 team in the East Lothian mixed league. This will consist of 4 men and 2 ladies. There is also the potential for some ladies to play for a combined East Lothian Ladies doubles team in Lothian Ladies division 2. There will also be an East Lothian mixed team taking on a return match against a Borders mixed team at Earlston High School – probably in January – more details to follow.

Costs will initially (prior to our AGM) be the same as last year but are bound to rise a bit as the hall rent will likely increase and the price of shuttles has gone up. Last season we had a £40 joining fee and thereafter members would pay a standing order of £10 per month to cover shuttle costs and hall fees. Visitors would pay £10 per night. Junior members (coach invitational only) or students would be charged £3 per evening.

The Dunbar Junior Badminton Club meets on a Tuesday evening between 6 and 9pm - usually starts early September (2nd) - full details and age groups with times will shortly be available on their website or page.
