🏏 Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust Charity will be at Queen’s Park this month as part of the Festival of Cricket, raising vital funds to support patients, staff and services across our hospital.

🌟 Margaret is one of our dedicated volunteers, and she has made a huge difference to the care we deliver through her fantastic efforts.

🎉 Over two decades, Margaret has not only supported patients through their cancer journey but also raised over £67k through book sales for our charity and the Cancer Services fund.

📖 Every Wednesday Margaret can be found in our Charity Hub in the main entrance selling books to patients, visitors and our colleagues.

🙏 We’d like to thank Margaret for everything she has done for us – and will continue to do!

💙Thank you to our intrepid colleagues who took the leap for Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust Charity and helped to make a difference every day to our patients and colleagues.

💙Yesterday, Sunday, 26 April, seven colleagues who work on our Eastwood Stroke ward; Jess, Alan, Shehmila, Lucy, Iona and Verity, along with Caroline Wade MBE, Chief People Officer, abseiled down Chesterfield Town Hall to raise funds for Cllr Barry D**e’s Mayor’s Charity Appeal.

💙The funds raised this year will be split between charities chosen by Barry and include Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust Charity which helps to fund projects that enhance patient care, improve facilities, and provide state-of-the-art equipment.

💙It also supports colleagues to care for our patients and take care of their own health and wellbeing through our onsite Health and Wellbeing Hub.

💙Barry has asked that the funds donated will go to our Eastwood ward which supports and cares for patients and their loved ones after a stroke. It’s a team which Barry and his wife Marie have had personal involvement with, and which they have chosen to support during their Mayoral year.

💙We’d like to thank colleagues who took part, Barry, Marie and the Civic team for their organisation and support – and everyone who turned up to support for their much-needed encouragement.

🌟 Fundraising Hero Alert! 🌟

🚴‍♂️ A huge thank you to Dominik Souter, a Chesterfield dad taking on an incredible 177‑mile cycle to Buckingham Palace to raise money for our Neonatal Unit.

🫶 Dominik and his partner Emma welcomed their daughter Ivy‑Jayne six weeks early, and as first‑time parents they described the experience as difficult and scary. Our amazing neonatal team supported them every step of the way — and now Dominik is giving back in the most inspiring way.

💙 Every donation he raises will help us continue supporting premature babies and their families at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
