She was entirely fitted out by the students of Eckington School and is operated entirely by her crew of volunteers.

🎃👻🧙Families were having a frightfully good time on the water yesterday on our Spooktacular cruises on board NB Madeline on the Chesterfield Canal🧙🧟🧌🧛👹.
At 2pm, we entertained a large group of grandchildren with their grandparents, and a mum and daughter duo.
🎃 Friday availability (£7/£5): 3 spaces at 11.30 and 5 places at 1pm.
On Saturday we have just 2 seats at 2pm. Come along and spot the ghouls!👻🎃

🪵🌳Logging some serious progress today were Chesterfield Canal Trust's 'Cut Crew'.
Volunteers have been hard at work in rather 🌧️wet conditions clearing up the aftermath of 🌧️🌀Storm Boelo!
The Cut Crew arrived early expecting to clear two 🌳🪾fallen trees at Dixons Lock and below Hollingwood Hub, only to learn that a further tree had fallen near the Old Pipe Bridge. All three trees have now been 🪵cut up to allow the 👻🎃spooky public Halloween boat trips on NB Madeline to go ahead this week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
👷🚧🦺Thanks to crew Iain Rowbotham, John & Christine Toseland and volunteer stalwarts Trev & Diane Woolley. Cut Crew organiser Pete Hayes said: "Top job everyone👍".

Members of the Chesterfield Canal Trust's volunteer Maintenance Team turned out in force to reorganise their storage container and winterise their summer equipment.
The afternoon was spent chipping brash and logging larger pieces as the team continues to clear down Bellhouse Lane Compound.

Eckingtonians, Sonia and Debbie, both had a go at steering NB Madeline on the Chesterfield Canal this weekend. And Alfreton couple, Mr and Mrs Bamford, celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on board. Mr Bamford is originally from Minneapolis.

😉💪The 'Voss Machine' has been at it again:
💧Wheeldon Mill Lock by-wash cleared and brushed.
🌿 Bluebank Lock by-wash cleared and brambles cut back.
🌿Dixon's Lock top by-wash cleared. Previously cut brambles raked and cleared.
All done in a day. Thanks Graham.
