The war memorial tablet was dedicated on 13 November 1927, and a group of local residents are already busy knitting and crocheting poppies in preparation for the centenary in November 2027. If you would like to join them, you’re warmly invited to drop into the Community Hub on any Thursday morning. For those who prefer to help from home, a poppy pattern is available in the comments. If you can donate any red or black wool to support the appeal, it would be greatly appreciated.
