Padley Martyrs SVP Conference welcomed 45 of our Beneficiaries today for a Sunday Afternoon Tea Party in the Annunciation Parish Centre with tea, sandwiches, cakes and a glass wine plus live entertainment from JJ Galway.
Seven Minnie Vinnies from St Mary's Primary School did an outstanding job serving our guests. They were truly a credit to their school.

And Finally:
September 2025 was the Centenary of the formation of the SVP conference in Chesterfield, and a Mass was celebrated by Fr Adrian in the Annunciation, followed by a lunch with a wide selection of guests including many former members. A great day!

The next day we made our annual appeal to the Parish for their continued support of our work and they responded with their usual exceptional generosity.

Hi. We have a vacancy in the SVP for a Membership Support Officer to help & work with the Conferences in the Hallam Diocese.

This is a great opportunity to support and grow the work of the SVP locally in Hallam, and we’re keen to reach anyone who may feel called to explore it.

If anyone would like an informal conversation before applying, they’re very welcome to contact Julia at [email protected].

Many thanks for helping us spread the word.

Padley Martyrs SVP Conference already sponsor two SVP conferences in India, but we were asked by our National Twinnage team, if we could support a new conference in Vadlapudi who needed financial help to support their beneficiaries create mini businesses. The money we provided has been spent on sewing machines, push carts, a wet grinder & a welding machine. These new business ventures help the beneficiaries become self sufficient and provide an on going revenue stream, which can be reinvested in further business set-ups.
