This month of October, we are displaying local Artist’s work.

Kath’s work is Cyanotype, and she has written a summary of what it is and what means to her.

Barbara’s work is eco-friendly textile Art, and she will be doing a pop-up table here on Sunday 25th October, to show more of her work.
She started to create pictures, using reclaimed fabrics.
She uses a technique in which small pieces of fabrics are bonded onto the backing fabric and overstitched using variegated threads by free-machine embroidery. This adds detail to the image as well as helping to secure the fabric pieces. You can read about the inspiration behind her method and the processes involved in her blogs.
Her largest textile art collage, "Crooked Spire at Night" was on display in 2024 at the Harley Gallery near Worksop.

last month was very successful for local authors and hopefully you will come down and view this months display.
Look forward to seeing you.

The new windows are in at Tapton Lock, and how wonderful they look, thanks to Frametech Bespoke. The boys were very adaptable and we managed to stay open throughout the refit. We are almost there with the outdoor signs too. Why don't you pop down to see us soon, this weekend is Bank Holiday so another day out, or next Saturday 5th September is the Tapton Lock Festival with Junction Arts.
September is our Authors month, so we will be displaying some local books and information on the authors. If you are an aspiring author, young or old feel free to bring your stories or books along. Time to get noticed.
