Cerebral Palsy Teens UK

Cerebral Palsy Teens UK Connecting and empowering youngsters & adults with Cerebral Palsy/similar physical disabilities. Registered Charity No. 1172105.

CP Teens UK is a registered charity (1172105) dedicated to empowering and supporting youngsters & adults in the UK with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and physical disabilities. We provide 'help, hope, inspiration & friendship' through social activities, initiatives & events with the aim of giving a platform for connection and personal growth. CP Teens UK aims to help empower individuals with Cerebral Palsy

and physical disabilities, enabling them to network, make friends, share their experiences, and develop skills that boost their confidence and independence.

At its heart, CP Teens UK runs from real-life first-hand experience, which is what makes the charity unique. Founded by Ellie Simpson, who has Cerebral Palsy, when she was 18-years-old after experiencing social isolation from able-bodied peers throughout her teenage years, the charity is about creating a sense of belonging, building confidence, and helping people with Cerebral Palsy & physical disabilities lead fuller & more enriched lives. The charity’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for social & personal development, and connecting youngsters & adults with shared experiences continues to inspire its work, making a lasting impact on the lives of those it serves.

A small, but mighty, Sponsored Wobble!

A big well done to all ‘wobblers’! Although we were a small group this year, we still wobbled through Chatsworth in a range of weather conditions along the way!

This year, Jasmine completed the 5k route on her Frame Runner. Despite only having a Frame Runner since November, Jasmine has gone from strength to strength - she uses her Frame Runner regularly and has even completed up to 4 miles at a time so far!

Jasmine has Cerebral Palsy and FND, which is a neurological condition where the brain has difficulty sending and receiving signals, causing a wide range of physical symptoms. She first got involved with Cerebral Palsy Teens UK during lockdown whilst in hospital for a long period. Since then, Jasmine has got involved and has attended endless events & initiatives - even travelling up to Derbyshire and Sheffield regularly from the London area for the day because “it’s so worth it”.

Jasmine decided that she wanted to use her Frame Runner to do the 2026 Sponsored Wobble.

“This charity has been a lifeline for me. Cerebral Palsy Teens UK does so much to make sure young people like me don’t feel alone.”

Through the wind, showers and some sunshine, Jasmine completed the Sponsored Wobble raising a phenomenal £550 so far! Jasmine was presented at the finish with the Cerebral Palsy Teens UK Diamond Award - an award that recognises true grit and triumph, not only for Jasmine’s impressive efforts on her Frame Runner and for the Wobble, but for everything she has accomplished and has pushed through with true grit over the past few years.

Jasmine, you’re a diamond 💎.
