𝑻𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 🏡🙌

The Tuesday Walk Group took advantage of the great weather today and had a bracing walk around Tapton Park. We soaked up the history of Tapton House, which was the residence of George Stephenson (1938 to 1948), and enjoyed the grounds and gardens. 🌿

Great views of Chesterfield and surrounding areas. We're already looking forward to visiting again in the coming months, as the temperature hopefully warms up. 💕

A 20 minute walk back to base at Newland Dale, along the canal, for chicken and mushroom pie followed by bakewell muffins and custard. Thumbs up from the group! ❤️👍🍄

• Chesterfield Care Group are interested in recruiting Trustees who have a caring nature.

• The Board of Trustees meets approximately every six weeks. You do not have to attend every meeting but you will be expected to attend the majority of them.

• In the first instance you will be offered the opportunities to attend a centre to see how the service operates and then to attend a Board of Trustees meeting. If it is agreeable to all parties, you will be welcomed to the Board of Trustees and an induction process will take place with the Service Manager and Finance/Governance Manager.

✨ 👌 The Tuesday Walk Group enjoyed pancakes for breakfast for Shrove Tuesday. 🥞 The sun was out in force but it was cold so we strolled up the road to Holy Trinity Church to enjoy the carpet of crocuses. Was so worth it! We also payed tribute to George Stephenson, Father of the Railways - who is buried in the Church. 🚂 The Church is being renovated at present so we couldn't see the exhibition on him. Next time.... 😁 🤩

𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 🚶‍♂️🌳

First walk of 2026 and everyone has taken it in their stride ❤️

It was chilly at Holmebrook Valley Park but we showed our resilience and managed a full circuit ⭐

We were ready to get back to base and warm up though. Thankfully we were able to defrost in the taxis ✨🙌
