"A gig for 150 people isn’t an unsuccessful attempt to stage a concert for 15,000.
The intimacy, the shared experience, the connection between artists and audiences, the ability to discover something extraordinary five minutes from your house, all have significant economic, social, and cultural value in their own right. And the value of that experience for the individual is at least equivalent to, and in my totally biased personal opinion in excess of, the levels of joy, wellbeing, community and engagement that you get from standing in a muddy field somewhere wondering who that is on stage half a mile away.
A Grassroots Music Venue isn’t simply a training facility where we prepare musicians for the day they become commercially successful enough to deserve proper recognition. It is that, obviously, but in a list of things communities and music fans value about their local venue it’s near the bottom of the list."

Aberdeen Music Society called this “the most astonishing performance we have ever staged”

We’ve performed this show over 60 times and the bookings keep coming… And every show is different, as the show evolves over time, and the audience interaction is never the same.

Sometimes people come almost reluctantly, thinking A Pocket Opera will be “good for them”. Yes, it will, in the way that a good laugh, a great night out with friends, and fabulous familiar music is good for you.

Get your tickets now.

Next show is in Ross on Wye next Sat 24 October.

Then we’re all over Somerset with Take Art

Then two central Bath shows in The Mission Theatre

All tickets are on our website- link in bio
