Our next Repair Cafe is coming up. Bring your broken items along to the Art Bank on June 13th, 11am - 1pm, and our volunteer repairers will be there to take a look, give advice and, if possible, fix them. Clothes, clocks... bags, blenders... radios, radiators... tables, toasters... This year we have already repaired 52 broken items. 75% of the things that you have brought in to us have been fixed. We look forward to seeing you at the Art Bank on June 13th. Repairs are free of charge, but a donation is appreciated to cover our running costs. Join us for a FREE screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing – a new short film being shown in communities across the UK. Wednesday 17th June at 6pm, at the Art Bankin Shepton Mallet.

What does climate and nature breakdown really mean for our health, food, energy costs, economy and future — and what can we still do about it locally and nationally? The film features leading scientists and voices including Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and Jennifer Saunders. The screening will be followed by responses and discussion.

Your Repair Café will be open for business this coming Saturday 9th May from 11am until 1pm. If you have something that needs fixing - an electric appliance, a radio or TV, something mechanical or made from wood, jewellery, clothing, a bag or a belt - bring it along to the Art Bank in Shepton Mallet on Saturday. Our clock repairer won't be there this month, but don't worry, he'll be back in June. If you have any questions, leave a message on our page. We look forward to seeing you!

Shepton Repair Café will be open at the Art Bank at 13 High Street Shepton Mallet BA4 5AA on Saturday 11th April from 11am to 1pm. Come along with your broken items - no need to book ahead. If you have any questions, just message this page or send an email to [email protected] - we're ready to help. Last month we fixed all kinds of stuff, from amps to lamps, and some surprises in between (from an elephant to a sofa). Our volunteer repairers can mend electrical and electronic items, mechanical breakdowns, toys, wooden things and small pieces of furniture, clocks, jewellery, clothes and bags. We do not make a charge, but much appreciate your donations towards our running costs. See you there - all are welcome!

Our next Repair Café will be on Saturday 14th March at the Art Bank, 13 High Street Shepton Mallet BA4 5AA. Our volunteer repairers will be there from 11am till 1pm, ready to fix your electrical and mechanical items, small pieces of furniture and other wooden objects. We're also ready to mend jewellery, clocks, clothing, and bags both leather and fabric. All are welcome and we're always happy to give advice or help if we can! The repairs are done free of charge, but we do appreciate donations to help with our running costs.

Before booking a bulky collection or taking your items to the recycling site, check if it could be used by someone else.
Check out our Pass it On webpage to find out how and where to donate unwanted furniture, appliances and white goods.
Donated items should be in good condition and suitable for reuse, with upholstered furniture meeting fire safety requirements.
Passing on unwanted furniture, small appliances or white goods can help local people to save money. As well as helping people, its also cutting waste at the same time.

Valentine's Day Repair Café. On February 14th we'll be giving extra love to your broken items. Same time as usual 11am to 1pm, at the Art Bank Shepton Mallet. Bring along electrical, mechanical and wooden items, also clothing, bags and jewellery, and we'll do our best to get them up and running again.
Once again Shepton Mallet Community Fridge will be running their SWAG event from 10-12 that day, with lots of food and other items to give away, and preloved household appliances at low prices.

The first Repair Café of 2026 is coming up. January 10th will once again be a Saturday of reuse and repair in Shepton. Come to the Art Bank from 11am till 1pm with your broken items - wooden, electrical, electronic, mechanical. We also have a brilliant jewellery repairer and we can tackle clothes and bag repairs too. That same day SWAG (Shepton Mallet Community Fridge) will be open from 10am till 12 at 50 High Street with a range of pre-loved items that and you might find just the thing you need (or didn't know you needed). So make Saturday 10th January a day for repairing and reusing, and give something a new lease of life!

The next Repair Café is on Saturday 13th December. We will be there as usual 11am to 1pm to repair your broken items – electrical, mechanical, wooden and also clothes, bags and jewellery.

And this is also the day of the 's first SWAG BAG event. A big morning of action on waste in Shepton!

So why not go along first to SWAG at no 50 the High Street. Their pop-up event runs from 10 till 12 where they will distribute unwanted household items, clothes and toys. Also on offer for a small donation, items that have been restored ready to use once again.

And even better: at no. 50 you can also pick up a voucher for a cup of tea and some soup at the Art Bank (donated by ) for when you come on down to the Repair Cafe.
