How lucky are we to have Charlie’s Deli in the heart of our town?
By way of the legendary Pie Man and Selfridges, London, he brings years of culinary expertise to Cary. Behind Pinsents’ yellow door is an expert at finding elusive ingredients, from TikTok must-haves to niche ethnic spices and old school staples.
Charlie champions local producers alongside far-flung favourites: small batch water kefirs, Higher Farm ketchup made from locally grown beetroot, Asian ingredients, Indian bar snacks, TORRES SELECTA | Premium Potato Chips crisps, As Raw As Chocolates truffles, Brickell's Ice Cream ice cream, Baboo Gelato sorbets and addictive ScandiKitchen: Food from Scandinavia Smash to name a tiny handful of the hundreds of brands that are crammed onto every shelf and surface.
And then there’s the cheese: Westcombe, White Lake CheeWestcombertWhite Lake Cheesed a new Alpine style discovery. His spoonable Gorgonzola is a weekend legendary sell out.
It’s a family affair - talented interiors professional Emily’s influence can be spotted in the decor and vintage treasures; with occasional guest staff appearances by daughters Poppy and Lara - also passionate about food and hospitality. Charlie’s wife is also famous round here for her baking - If you’ve tried her Basque cheesecake, you’ll know why!
Alongside Charlie behind the counter are Fi, Alex and Freja, they are all deeply knowledgeable and passionate about all things food and cooking; this is the team we’d be lost without. They make everyone feel like part of the deli family, even Cary’s children and dogs are at home here … slide 👈 to spot some friendly familiar faces.
