carers. At Cumberland Carers, we provide free, friendly, and kind support for unpaid carers in Cumberland.

If you support a friend or family member who, due to illness, disability, mental health challenges or addiction, relies on your help (and you’re not paid to do so) you’re an unpaid carer. And you’re not alone. Whether it’s a quick call, utilising our website, or arranging a face-to-face meeting, our team is ready to offer advice, guidance and connection. We can help with carer assessments, one-to-one support, social get-togethers, and navigating wider services. We’re here to support you - not just in your caring role, but in looking after yourself too.

We are seeking a dedicated Carer Support Co-ordinator to provide practical, emotional and community-based support to unpaid adult carers throughout Cumberland, with a key focus on Millom and surrounding areas.

This role would suit someone with experience in support work, community engagement, advocacy, health and social care, or advice services, who is passionate about empowering individuals and strengthening local communities. 🥰

Millom Music School is holding free Memories and Melodies sessions on the 3rd Friday of every month, beginning on 16th October, 1:30pm-2:30pm at Millom Methodist Church.🎶
