SUMMER HOLIDAYS 2026

We’re excited to announce our Summer 2026 programme, packed with activities, trips, sports, and opportunities for young people across Carlisle. Starting Week commencing July 20th.

HAF Summer Programme Highlights:

Thanks to HAF funding, we’re able to offer some fantastic experiences for both juniors and teenagers, including:
• 6-Week Golf Programme at Eden Golf Club
• Cinema Trips
• Fusion Activity Trips
• Forest School with The Outside Club (fully booked, waitlist in operation)

HAF bookings are now live, and places for activities and trips are limited.

⚽🎉 REMINDER – England Match Warm-Up Party! 🎉⚽

Just a reminder that our England Match Warm-Up Party takes place on Wednesday 17th June from 5:30pm – 7:30pm!

This will be a combined Juniors and Teens session and the only session running on Wednesday 17th June. FOR EXISTING MEMBERS ONLY.

While we're getting excited for England's first game, this event is about so much more than one team. It's a celebration of football bringing people together and recognising all the young people taking part in this year's football festivities.

Our amazing young people have been busy helping to create colourful bunting featuring all of the flags from the World Cup, reflecting the spirit of inclusion, friendship and respect that football can inspire across the world. 🌍⚽❤️

Join us for an evening of:

⚽ Football fun
🎉 Plenty of pre-match excitement!
Feel free to come dressed in your best England-themed or football-inspired outfit and help us create a fantastic atmosphere.

💄✨ Hair & Makeup Night ✨💄

What a brilliant evening! The whole group got involved, from styling hair and trying out makeup looks to enjoying some very relaxing head massages. 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

The boys were right in the middle of it all too, proving once again that these evenings are for everyone! 😄

We are gutted we didn't get a photo of Kate's makeover. Our young people took charge of her makeup and let's just say... it was certainly creative, definitely unique, and had us all laughing! 😂

These nights are always packed with fun, confidence building, creativity and lots of laughs. The best thing is seeing everyone joining in, supporting each other and having a go at something.

A lovely evening full of smiles, friendship and memories made. ❤️

One of our amazing young people helped us start getting World Cup ready yesterday! ⚽🌍

As a youth group that absolutely loves football, the FIFA World Cup 2026 is something we're all really excited about. To celebrate, we started creating flags in our Home Ed session to representing all of the countries taking part.

We'll be continuing our flag-making session tonight as we work towards creating one huge, inclusive bunting that celebrates every nation, every culture, and every person involved in this fantastic global event. ❤️🌎 (watch this space for bunting pics)

A huge thank you to G for all your help last night and for creating the wonderful centrepiece featuring all the World Cup flags. Your creativity and enthusiasm have helped bring our vision to life, and we can't wait to see it all come together!

Football has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and we're proud to be celebrating that spirit of inclusion, friendship, and community.

🎉😊 What a fantastic time we had Petteril Bank Community Hall Juniors & Tweens this week!

The room was full of smiles, laughter, and lots of energy as we welcomed both new faces and familiar friends. It was great to see everyone having fun together and making new connections.

Although Best Friends Day was on Monday, we wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful friendships in our group. We got creative making friendship bracelets, writing cards for our friends, and enjoying all the usual games, activities, and fun!

A brilliant evening celebrating friendship, kindness, and togetherness. 💜✨

🧘✨ Stretching, balancing, and plenty of smiles in our Teens group last night!

A huge thank you to Andrea for coming in and introducing our young people to yoga. It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved, having a laugh, and giving something completely different a go.

Our boys especially threw themselves into the session – proving that yoga isn't just about being flexible, it's about having fun, building confidence, and trying new things. Some of those poses were definitely harder than they looked! 😆

We loved seeing so many young people stepping out of their comfort zones and giving it their best shot.

Thanks again, Andrea, for bringing such great energy and making the session so enjoyable. We can't wait to have you back! 💙🙌

💙 A huge thank you to Stafforce Carlisle for choosing to support The Rock Youth Project and the young people we work with across our city.

We are incredibly grateful for their generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping us continue providing opportunities, support, and a safe space for local young people.

On Tuesday 9th June 2026, the fantastic team at Stafforce Carlisle will be hosting a Bake Sale and Raffle at their offices on 60 Lowther Street, Carlisle, with all funds raised going directly to support our work.

We would love our community to get behind this amazing fundraising event. If you can, please pop along, buy some delicious treats, enter the raffle, and show your support.

🌟 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – COULD YOU SPARE A FEW HOURS? 🌟

Do you have a little free time each week?

Would you like to make a positive difference in the lives of local young people?

If so, we'd love to hear from you!

The Rock Youth Project is looking for volunteers to support our youth workers across our sessions. Whether you can give a few hours regularly or occasionally, your time and support can have a real impact.

💙 As a volunteer, you could:

✅ Welcome young people as they arrive
✅ Help with refreshments and food service
✅ Support activities alongside our youth workers
✅ Encourage young people to get involved and have fun
✅ Assist with setting up and tidying away
✅ Help create a safe, friendly and welcoming environment

No previous experience is needed – just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved.

Full safeguarding training and ongoing support will be provided. Must be willing to undertake a DBS check.

Volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people, be part of a fantastic team, and help create opportunities for young people in our community.

It’s been raining a lot this week and the youth club has suddenly turned into its own music festival. ☔🎤😂

Every day has brought a new song, a new performer, and moments where we’ve all tried very hard not to laugh at the creative vocal choices and alternative lyrics. 😬🎶

Truthfully, though, moments like these are our favourite. When young people feel comfortable enough to let their guard down, have a laugh, sing their hearts out, and be themselves, we know we’re doing something right.

That’s exactly the kind of environment we want to create, a place where everyone is welcome, friendships grow & confidence builds. ❤️

No pressure to be cool. No pressure to be perfect. Just a safe, welcoming space to come as you are. ❤️
