We’re really excited to be running Creative Grow Well for the 5th year this Autumn and Winter thanks to funding support from Cardiff South West Cluster

This year there will be two groups, enabling us to support more people with their health and wellbeing over the winter. Sessions will be held on alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays, check the flyers for dates and times.

Always a warm welcome, good companionship, freshly made soup and nature based crafts to try out 🎨🌿☕️

It was great to welcome Nerys Evans MS, Deputy Minister for Public and Preventative Health to the Grow Well garden at the Dusty Forge with ACE - Action in Caerau and Ely this week. We enjoyed introducing you to the Grow Well volunteers and staff who work so hard to make the garden such a beautiful, warm and welcoming space each week, to our fantastic NHS partners and taking time to share stories of healing and hope from volunteers in the Dusty Forge. With thanks to the brilliant https://natashahirstblog.co.uk/ for photography

A busy workshop week in the Grow Well gardens last week with watercolour painting using botanical inks and gel plate printing and card making. Our participants said how much they enjoyed creating art outdoors, using plants from the gardens, and how the workshops helped them to feel connected to nature and each other. Two wonderful afternoons and beautiful creative results from both workshops 🎨🌸🍁
Thanks to the The National Lottery Community Fund/ Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol for funding these workshops, helping us to connect people and nature ☺️

Our Cyanotype workshops this week have been a great success! Spending meaningful time in our gardens observing the plants around us and exploring printmaking using the sun ☀️ People felt connected to nature and each other as they experimented and learned a new skill. As well as cyanotype prints we made anthotypes using turmeric which turns a beautiful burnished red when exposed to the sun. The results are stunning! Thank you to everyone who attended, what a delightful couple of afternoons 😎🎨🌿
Many thanks to the The National Lottery Community Fund/ Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol for funding this project

We were in high spirits today at the Grow Well garden at Lansdowne Surgery! What a bumper harvest despite struggling with watering in the heatwaves.
We were so delighted to have successfully grown a cauliflower after several years of trying and most exciting of all we picked and ate delicious heritage peaches from our Marquess of Anglesey’s peach tree 🍑 kindly donated by Coed Caerdydd what a wonderful day! Thanks to all the volunteers for helping us keep the garden thriving through difficult times 💚
