🎖We are delighted to share the exciting news that one of our members, Ray Pritchard, has been awarded The British Empire Medal in the King’s birthday honours.

This is enormously well deserved! Ray’s role was pivotal in establishing the Welsh Alpine Championships in Champéry 20 years ago.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇨🇭⛷️ He has maintained his support throughout this period enthusiastically raising funds, alongside engaging support from the local community, helping to ensure it's continued success.
Ray has gone on to establish the twinning of Llandudno & Champéry to further cement our relationship.🤝

Ray said “I am humbled, happy, honoured & a little shocked! I would like to dedicate the award to all the athletes who have passed through Champéry in the Region Dent du Midi🇨🇭to compete in the Welsh Alpine Championships”.
Ray would like to thank everyone involved in his journey, not only with our champs but also the joint Swiss / Welsh Team training camps and the Llandudno / Champéry Twinning Association. 🙏
