The next Fairwater Repair Cafe will be this Saturday, 14 March 2026.

We will be at St. Peter's Community Hall & Gardens between 11:00 and 13:00.

ATTENTION VENUE CHANGE: Wewill be in the Volunteer Centre rather than the main hall. We'll put out clear signs, so you can find us!

Due to volunteer sickness, we have to cancel February Fairwater Repair Cafe tomorrow (Saturday 14 February). We'll be bsck as usual on Saturday 14 March 2026.

If you need something repaired urgently there is a Repair Café in Chapter Arts, Canton on Saturday 21 February and Dusty Forge, Ely 28 February.

Otherwise we'll be very happy to see you in March

Fairwater Repair Café is a community‑run event in Fairwater, Cardiff, where volunteers help people fix broken household items instead of throwing them away. It’s part of the wider Repair Café Wales network, which supports more than 100 similar cafés across the country.
🔧 What happens at the Fairwater Repair Café
• It takes place at St Peter’s Community Hall & Garden, 211 St Fagans Rd, Fairwater, Cardiff, CF5 3DW.
• Events typically run once a month, usually on a Saturday from 11:00 to 13:00.
• You can bring along broken or damaged items, and volunteer repairers will try to fix them for free.
• While you wait, you can enjoy tea or coffee and chat with neighbours—it's as much about community as it is about repairs.
🛠️ Typical repairs offered
• Basic bicycle maintenance
• Electrical appliance repair (except microwaves, which are too dangerous)
• Computing help
• Sewing and textiles
• Woodworking
• Ornament and household item repairs
Volunteers are also happy to show you how the repair works, so you can learn new skills and reduce waste in the future.

International Repair Day is coming! Join the Fairwater Repair Cafe this Saturday 11 October at St. Peter's Community Hall & Gardens. We will be there between 11am and 1pm and looking forward to prolonging the life of your items. Please come and bring us your broken small appliances (no microwaves) and other items that need fixing. If you can get it to us, we'll have a look. We're particularly excited to be able to offer clothes and soft toy repairs again. So if you have any broken zips, rips or soft toys in need of some TLC, come and meet our new fixer Jane. Coffee/Tea and refreshments will be provided

Bring us your broken items and we'll try and fix them for free. Come and join us for free refreshments, repairs and a chat.

Greetings. Here's a screwdriver for every occasion. Need to fix those pesky glasses that keep falling off ya face? Always good to keep a handy set of screwdrivers in your home. Nice and compact. Not affiliated with the seller i just saw these were not too expensive.
