The Fifth Trust The Fifth Trust supports around 180 adults with learning disabilities from across East Kent. We deliver and stack locally sourced logs too.

We operate award winning social enterprises - the Vineyard Garden Centre and Café - in the Elham Valley near Canterbury.

ge selection of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, seasonal bedding plants and gardening accessories. If you require help in the garden - a hedge trimmed or your lawn cut - we can send round our garden maintenance team to do the job. We have a licensed cafe serving delicious homemade food for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, and our own Elham Valley Vineyard sparkling and still wines. The cafe and garden centre are two of the social enterprises run by The Fifth Trust charity to raise additional funds for our work supporting adults with learning disabilities. During the week our students work alongside staff in the social enterprises, learning valuable skills and gaining independence.

The glorious summer sunshine has provided the perfect opportunity for our photography students to get out and capture the beauty of the season. 📸

This week, they headed to Ramsgate Beach, where golden sands, sparkling seas and a scattering of cloud cover created the perfect backdrop for practising photography skills.

From framing the perfect shot to experimenting with light and perspective, it was a fantastic day of creativity, learning and making the most of a beautiful Kent summer!

July 30th marks International Friendship Day on our calendar — a lovely opportunity to celebrate the friendships and connections that brighten our days. At The Fifth Trust, we often talk about how our services create opportunities for skill-building, confidence and mental wellbeing. A fundamental part of that wellbeing is having the chance to share meaningful social connection with other students, our team and the customers who visit our social enterprises.

This International Friendship Day, we celebrate the friendships that grow across our Skills Centre, cafés, gardens and social enterprises — the everyday moments of kindness, laughter and connection that help our students feel valued, included and confident. Thank you to everyone who plays a part in creating that sense of belonging.

Jacob has created a detailed anglerfish and squid, whilst Alison has been working on several pieces of her own, including a turtle and sword! The creativity in this session is inspiring!
