Then this could be the perfect job for you. We’re recruiting for a Session Cover Instructor based in Barham, Canterbury.

The Fifth Trust is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and energetic Session Instructor to join our team. Our students engage in a wide variety of activities across a selection of sessions, providing a range of creative, practical, and educational opportunities. Whether it’s learning new skills or making everyday decisions, we support each student in making their own choices to encourage confidence and independence.

Responsibilities
• Lead and instruct a small group of students through various activity stations, providing tailored support to each individual.
• Develop and implement new and engaging activities to keep sessions fresh and stimulating.
• Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters focus, and wellbeing.
•Monitor each student’s progress, adapting activities to meet their evolving needs and abilities, and celebrate their success.
• Work collaboratively with staff, families and care teams.

Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £27,400 pro rata
Location: Elham Valley Vineyard with travel to local areas

This week is an important moment in The Fifth Trust calendar: a time to celebrate the lives and achievements of people with learning disabilities.

This year’s theme for Learning Disability Week of ‘Do you see me?' asks society to truly see, hear, include and value people with learning disabilities in every part of life.

Our design students got collaborative this week and have enjoyed creating their own pirate pictures! Our various art sessions provide a supportive environment to be creative, and fosters independence, self expression and confidence.

A lot of our students artwork is used for our greeting cards, magnets, prints and more. We love to share the talents and creativity with our community.

Cook Club have been super busy stocking up our Fifth Trust Jams and Chutneys recently! Some delicious seasonal flavours are now on the shelf.

Our students are supported through each step, allowing them to grow in confidence, independence and to build skills and create a product to be proud of! Our chutneys and jams are used in our Vineyard Café and are for sale in the Vineyard Garden Centre and Gift Shack!
