UKCVFAMILY NOW ACCEPTING GRANT APPLICATIONS

The trustees of UKCVFamily (registered charity no. 1207178) are thrilled to announce that Covid vaccine-injured and -bereaved individuals in the UK are now able to apply to the charity for a Testing and/or Treatment Grant.

For this first round of grants, we have a one-off total sum of up to £30,000 to distribute between successful applicants. To apply, please email [email protected]. Our first application assessment will be 14th September so we urge applicants to apply soon. We will aim for assessments to occur on a monthly basis, for as long as funds are available.

All information submitted in support of your application will be handled according to GDPR legislation and kept on a secure folder. Those assessing your application will only see anonymised data. You do not need to be a member of any of UKCVFamily’s Facebook groups to apply for a Testing and/or Treatment Grant.

These grants are ONLY possible because of the generosity of our donors and fundraisers. If you are willing or able to donate or fundraise specifically for our grant fund, please get in touch so that we can keep the fund topped up, regularly announce more application drives, and help injured and bereaved people get the support they need.

Introducing UKCVFamily Northern Ireland Representative: Fiona Campbell

The trustees are thrilled to announce the appointment of an official UKCVFamily representative in Northern Ireland: Fiona Campbell.

Fiona played a vital role in the arrangement of the charity’s meeting with the Northern Ireland Health Minister and his team earlier this year, and also in the direction of the conversation during the meeting itself. It became apparent throughout the trustees’ dealings with Fiona that she shared our ethos and goals, and was already a great asset to our organisation. We are very happy that Fiona has accepted our invitation to represent us in Northern Ireland.

Fiona spent almost two decades as a general nurse, before becoming an anaesthetic nurse specialist, and later an Environmental Health Officer working in Public Health. It was the skills she developed during her medical career that helped her understand her own reaction and subsequent illness, and, along with her work in local government, gave her the confidence to speak out not just for herself but on behalf of others similarly affected. Fiona has been contacting local politicians and health officials to raise the profile of the injured and bereaved, since April 2021. She also spoke at the Unite to Fight 2024 online conference on Long Covid and ME/CFS, regarding the unmet needs and stigmatization of those suffering after vaccination.

Fiona says, “Since joining UKCVFamily in 2021 I have found constant warmth, support, and acceptance. The group gives me, and others like me, hope for the future, and reassurance that I am not alone. Being a representative of the group in Northern Ireland helps me continue to speak out and engage with policy makers, knowing that I have the knowledgable support and guidance of the UKCV team.”

This evening UKCVFamily’s Chair of Trustees, Caroline Pover, gave a talk about our charity to the Inner Wheel Club of Cirencester at the Royal Agricultural University. Attendees heard about the charity’s history and activities as well as Caroline’s own adverse reaction and more recent health improvement.

There followed a thoughtful Q&A about nutrition-based medicine, chronic illness, and the expected reporting and investigation of adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals. It was an eye-opening evening appreciated by all, and followed by a kind donation pledge by the club.

UKCVFamily's second TCS London Marathon 2027 charity place is being run by Mia.
She will be running in memory of her dad, Andy, who sadly passed away in 2024 after suffering a condition called
Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) which was caused by a Covid-19 vaccination.
