We hope you all enjoyed Suffolk Day yesterday and took full advantage of the lovely weather.
Now for this week write up-
Wednesday 24th June 1.30pm to 3.30pm an afternoon of Kurling.
Thursday 25th June 10.30am 'Care & Welfare ' morning with Alice. A light lunch will follow.
Friday 26th June 2.00pm, Wine Tasting ' with Kevin & Teresa.
All events will take place at the Oddfellows Hall, Whiting Street, BSE.

Back in March we took part in Michelle from The Crafty Foxes latest project. We made Twiggy the 60's icon, on Monday we came across her and her husband putting the display up in the Abbey Gardens. Wow

Being awarded 2 National & 2 East Anglian Group Conference awards is something to be celebrated. These were for the highest number of members recruited in one year & the highest percentage increase in membership in one year. Having Helen from Sudbury Oddfellows, Alice from Stowmarket Oddfellows and Diana from Colchester Oddfellows carry them in to the District Lunch makes us proud to work for this great District Lodge. Thanks must also go to our wonderful volunteers from all 4 Social Lodges, for helping to make this possible. we couldn't do this without them. Jacky

At the Oddfellows we believe in 'Making Friends, Helping People'. The Care & Welfare side of the Oddfellows has always been at the heart of what we do.

On Thursday 25th June at 10.30am we will have a Care & Welfare meeting followed by lunch at the Oddfellows Hall in Bury St Edmunds for Oddfellows members.

Whether you are interested in getting involved with Care & Welfare volunteering, or if you would just like to know more about the welfare benefits available to our members, you are very welcome to come along.

We will cover:
- Becoming a Welfare Visitor or Telephone Befriender
- Oddfellows Welfare Benefits

This will be followed by a light 'soup & roll' lunch.

We welcomed our newest director Brother Peter Mouland from Severn and Trent Oddfellows to be our guest speaker this weekend. This was his first visit to a district as the guest speaker and his presentation was well received by all who attended.
