Lions Club of Bury St Edmunds
We are proud to be part of the Lions International Worldwide organisation of over 1.4 million volunteers. The overwhelming difference with joining the Lions family is that every penny raised is spent on the community and Lions International projects. No fundraising money is used in the running of the clubs or administration, meaning every Penny Counts!
Proudly supporting local charities including: My WiSH, NewsTalk, St Nicholas Hospice, E.A.C.H., The Samaritans, the Blood Bikers (SARS), East Anglian Air Ambulance, Bury St Edmunds Drop In Centre, MacMillan Nurses, Women’s Refuge, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cancer Research UK, Elderberries community project.
Local fundraising by marshalling events and the hosting of Piug Races supporting local village hall/venue restorations for Norton and Thurston, the Lymphoedema Society, Westley Toddlers and Mothers group, World Scout Jamboree, Cars by the Lake, The Bury Dog Show, Girls Night Out, Colourdash, Paws In the Park, Cystic Fibrosis.
