What a brilliant start to our Walton Weekend at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

Many thanks to The Facade Ensemble and Benedict Collins Rice for their brilliant (and fun) performance of William Walton’s Façade with an astonishingly polished delivery of Edith Sitwell’s poems by Lotte Betts-Dean. Wow!

Many thanks to Charlotte from Bury Music Festival and St Edmundsbury Cathedral for hosting us so well and for the opportunity to meet representatives from The Walton Trust-we very much look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow evening, for more splendid music.

Bury Bach Choir return to The Apex in November. This concert is devoted to Johann Sebastian Bach’s last sacred work, the Mass in B minor, which is widely regarded as "one of the greatest, if not the single greatest, musical masterpieces of all time".

Tomorrow, we are very much looking forward to welcoming Bath Bach Choir to our beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds for the first of two concerts which we have been jointly planning for a very long time.

Both choirs and their respective trustees and committees have worked incredibly hard to bring this choral collaboration to fruition and it will be a great pleasure to share the stage with them tomorrow evening.

And why Bath Bach Choir, you might ask? Well, not only are they are very accomplished and first class choir in their own right but we also share the same Music Director- the brilliant Benedict Collins Rice.

We wish all members of their choir safe journeys to Suffolk this weekend and cannot wait to perform the first of these epic concerts with them.

Oh, we are SO excited for this one and our thrilling end to the 25/26 season at St Edmundsbury Cathedral tomorrow night, where we will be joined by our brilliant choral collaborators Bath Bach Choir, the superb orchestration of Southern Sinfonia UK with the stellar Roderick Williams topping the bill. All conducted by our amazing, joint Music Director, Benedict Collins Rice.
