Investing in young entrepreneurship is how we build stronger businesses, closer communities and inclusive local economies.

The Business Bootcamp Expo is coming soon to showcase the achievements of our sixth cohort, providing an opportunity to meet the next generation of business owners, hear their stories and explore the ventures they have developed throughout the programme.

A reminder that our Meet The Employer with Zen Educate is next week! Been wondering how to get your foot in the door for a career in education?

Then come along! This session is made for YOU.

Learn from people inside the sector about working inside the classroom, the roles and opportunities that are available, and how to engage with them! Then spend an hour after the session, with support, applying for the opportunities on offer.

Today, Spark hosted another successful Meet The Employer event in partnership with Wirral Council.

Between 1pm and 3pm, our young people had the opportunity to directly learn more about different career paths within local government, and gain valuable insight into working within the public sector.

The second hour of the event focused on live job opportunities, allowing attendees to explore vacancies and submit applications with support available throughout the session 💼

These events are a great way for our young people to build confidence, develop their understanding of the workplace, and connect with employers who are actively recruiting.

Thank you to Wirral Council and everyone who attended and helped make today's event a success.

We'd also like to thank Wirral Foodbank for helping us keep our Foodbank and emergency food parcels stocked, we know the young people who benefit from this are thankful too!

Once again, a massive thank you to both Wirral Council and Wirral Foodbank!

Hosted at Spark, we're delighted to promote The Craft-ivity Fair - organised by our very own Enterprise members.

This neurodiverse-friendly, accessible market gives young entrepreneurs a chance to test the waters and helps first-time stall holders get their name out there and hone their craft, as well as give attendees the opportunity to discover some fresh talent and learn something new at the activity tables

You can expect activity tables for the crafts, custom jewellery, and accessories all free after paying your entry fee!

For only a £5 standard entry fee, and only £3 for Spark Members, you get:

✅ Drinks and Refreshments
✅ A ticket to the raffle
✅ A chance to learn new skills
✅ To support young entrepreneurship

We're excited to announce the Business Bootcamp Expo is happening very soon.

Come to Spark and see how far the young entrepreneurs have come, hear their stories of struggle and overcoming it, and share their success.

Your postcode doesn't define your potential.

It's National Social Mobility Day! ✨

To that end, Our 100 opportunities campaign is a call to action. We're asking employers for at least ONE opportunity that could make a difference, whether that would be work experience, volunteering or employment. Open a door, change a future.

As well as this, we had the pleasure of visiting Aviva in Liverpool again yesterday, who've done much for our young members to raise their aspirations with guaranteed interviews, and many Meet The Employer sessions ran by them in our hub!

Our members got a real insight into the office environment and the potential spaces they could one day be working in.

A big thank you to Aviva for welcoming us back!

Inspiring the next generation starts with industry engagement.

Our Meet The Employer sessions show the value of connecting employers directly with young people and emerging talent. By inviting Zen Educate into our hub, young people gain the opportunity to interact directly with expert in education about opportunities, what it's like working in education and advice on engaging with active roles.

These sessions are more than presentations or exposure to new opportunities, they are doors that are waiting to be opened. The whole session is to inspire, inform, and create meaningful connections between industry and the next generation of professionals. Whether highlighting opportunities within your sector, discussing skills and career progression, or sharing your organisation's journey, your contribution can have a lasting impact.

We are always looking to expand our network of employer partners who are passionate about supporting talent development and bridging the gap between employer and young people. If your organisation would be interested in delivering a future Meet The Employer session, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can work together.

By investing a small amount of time, businesses can play a significant role in raising aspirations, broadening horizons, and helping young people better understand the opportunities available to them.
