Beth Murray - Rotary

Last night The Rotary Club Of West Derby Liverpool celebrated their 50th anniversary with a beautiful dinner and entertainment. A great MC - Bobby Dunne, fabulous entertainment and a delicious meal from Devonshire House Hotel, Liverpool.

There were 3 past District Governors present plus our current - Andrew Allen.

I believe 8 past Presidents in attendance plus Sylvia Lewis who is President today.

Great to be joined by several of my fellow members of Bebington Rotary and we enjoyed the opportunity to get dressed up too.

It was also fantastic to hear from Peter Oliver & William Shortall. A great double act supporting our region.

Thanks Jamie Lee Carter & Daniel Smith for some of the photos!

In Rotary we are non-political, although many of our members give service back to the community as MPs, local Councillors and even Mayors.

Earlier this week I had the privilege of being invited to see Mary Jordan made Mayor of Wirral for the next year. The post of Mayor is equally a non-political role. It was wonderful to see Mary's pride in accepting this role, and she's an active member of my club, Bebington Rotary

I saw several friendly faces including Robin Baynes of The Rotary Club Of West Derby Liverpool, and my friends Lottie & Lynn who were representing Wirral Carers - one of the Mayor's charities. It was such a great opportunity to share with several members of my club (pictures). Watch out for the adventures of my Mayor Bear now as well.

There are so many opportunities being part of Rotary, and you meet so many interesting people!

Bring your family and friends. Enjoy some time out and come away with ideas about how you can protect our environment for future generations.
Local produce and crafts will also be available from Heswall Farmers’ Market and Craft Market, which will be taking place in Heswall Hall.
