Fashion Revolution Denmark

What can a leather scrap become? 🌈

Last weekend, we worked with leftover leather pieces and turned them into covers for notebooks and agendas. 📚

Small scraps, different shapes, different colours, materials that might easily be overlooked, but still have plenty of potential.

A little cutting, experimenting and making together, and waste finds a new purpose. 💚

Thanks to our Revolutionaries for hosting such a cute event! .lindvig . And to Alternative Fashion Week CPH for the space and the great event you put together! ✨

What actually happens on Wednesdays? 💚

You come with an idea. Or without one.
You find some discarded textiles, sit down, start experimenting, ask someone for help and somehow, three hours later, you’ve made something, or became friends with someone ⭐️

Our Wednesday workshops are a space to learn, upcycle, experiment and share skills with others.

Some Wednesdays are volunteer-led, while on selected dates we have professional textile facilitators for those trickier questions and projects that need a little more guidance.

No experience needed. No materials needed. No sign-up needed.

Just come by, get curious and make something with us.

This Wednesday, Alba is taking over the workshop! 🧵💚

Alba first joined our community to learn new skills. Now, she’s coming back as a volunteer to share what she has learned with others. That’s exactly what we love about community: knowledge keeps circulating.

For her first workshop, we’re giving an everyday object a new purpose: turning old tote bags into aprons.

Bring your own tote bag or find materials at our Textile Library, and Alba and our volunteers will be there to help you along the way.

This is part of our Wednesdays by Volunteers series: workshops created and hosted by members of our community, sharing their ideas, skills and creativity with each other.

✨Recap from Saturday August 22 Workshop: Personalized Journals by Johanne and Margrete, hosted at Alternative Fashion Week CPH✨

💚 Thank you to all who came by and took part in the creative and craftie part of sustainable and circular fashion, using scrap leather material to make beautiful covers for books, journals and calendars, that, beside giving them a personalized touch, create protection for longer lasting.

💚 There was an overwhelming interest in this weekend’s workshop on journal covers, created and facilitated by Margrete and Johanne, where more than 60 people joined.

💚 We are curious to hear what you think about this workshop, and if you would like to participate in another personalized journal workshop.

Fashion Revolution is growing in Fyn! 💚

Meet our local community in Odense a group of makers, repairers and textile lovers creating a space to learn, experiment and rethink the way we relate to our clothes.

Throughout August, you can find us every Wednesday at the recycling station in Odense, with workshops exploring different textile skills from visible mending and working with wool and fibres to transforming existing garments and materials into something new. 🧵♻️

Come to learn something new, bring a project, meet the community or simply get inspired.

And if you’re based in Fyn, follow along! This is just the beginning of what we hope to build together. 🌱

What happens when you put old Pride banners, thousands of wristbands and a bunch of creative people in the same room? 🌈

This weekend, we found out.

People came to make their looks for Pride and left with fringed accessories, harnesses, boleros, costumes and quite a few ideas we definitely hadn’t thought of ourselves.

But our favourite part was seeing materials from previous Pride celebrations become part of new ones.

Circularity doesn’t always have to feel serious. Sometimes it looks like cutting things up, trying something ridiculous, helping the person next to you and leaving ready for the parade. 💚

We had SO much fun doing this with the Pride community that we’re already thinking about next year…

Should we take over Pride Square with one giant upcycling workshop? 👀🌈

Tell us what would you do for yourself in the comments! 💚
