”Global Stay Tours” inviterer hvert år op mod 500 danske elever på virtuelle studieture til Kenya og Bolivia.
Her bliver de modtaget af unge lokale kultur-guider, der via zoom viser eleverne rundt i deres virkelighed og
deler deres tanker om et aktuelt tema relateret til Verdensmålene.

Med lærerkurserne får de deltagende lærere
◾ en ide om Global Stay Tours potentiale for undervisningen og mere generelt for elevernes
interkulturelle kompetencer.
◾ ideer til elevernes arbejde med produkter fra rejsen
◾ bedre mulighed for at forberede deres elever på en Global Stay Tour
◾ mulighed for at netværke med andre lærere

‘Rejsen’ går til Kenya eller Bolivia under to eftermiddage i September, en til hvert land.

Siden 2023 har Global Stay Tours modtaget støttet fra Globus Puljen, og SPOR Media har netop fået tilsagn
om støtte til endnu et års aktiviteter. Vi vil gerne bruge dette år til at videreudvikle konceptet, og søger derfor en gymnasielærer, der i skoleåret 2025-26 vil afsætte ca. 20 timer til at give feed-back på
undervisningsmaterialer, elevproduktioner og nye ideer.

Anothe week, another Global Stay Tour 💚✨

During the past week 30 students from the visited Nairobi, meeting our Cultural Guides from Nafsi Africa 🇰🇪🇩🇰

With the theme “Environment and Climate” the students saw and heard firsthand the struggles and difficulties caused by climate in Kenya.
Together with their cultural guides they met with Lawrence Rapando: founder and director of Rural Environmental Outreach Forum-Kenya, an organization involved in conservation of natural resources in Kenya 🌱💧

As our Cultural Guide said: Change won’t come when we are comfortable! 🔥

37 students of Svendborg Gymnasium “travelled” to Bolivia with our Global Stay Tour and met our cultural guides from teatro trono 🎭💚

The students had the possibility to talk about how climate change affect Bolivia and Denmark and they discovered the cultural guides' reality 🌍 🌱

“El cambio climático afecta a los habitantes de Bolivia mucho más que a los habitantes de Dinamarca. Ahora mismo hace un frío increíble en Bolivia, y los habitantes no están acostumbrados a este tiempo” wrote the Danish students in the letters they prepared for their cultural guides 💌✨

21 students from Osted Efterskole embarked on a journey to Kenya! 🌍✨

During their Global Stay Tour, they met the inspiring Ralia Gabo—a human rights activist, media host, and long-time Nafsi ally—who shared powerful insights about life in Korogocho, one of Nairobi’s largest slums.

The students stepped into the lives of their cultural guides, visiting their homes and gaining a deeper understanding of Kenyan realities, inequality and resilience🤝

This experience wasn’t just about learning: it was about challenging perspectives and finding ways to create change. 🌏✨

Our wonderful and clever friend, sister and work partner Ana has left this earth far too early, and we will miss her so deeply.
Her fight for political theater and for gender equality is so remarkable and has left footprints not only in Bolivia but also with us in Denmark and in many other people from countries all over the world. Our thoughts are with Claudio and Ivana, Ana’s sisters and the many young people at Teatro Trono.
Thanks for everything, dear Ana. We love you❤️

El Teatro Trono expresa su más profundo agradecimiento a todas las personas que han estado junto a la familia de nuestra querida Anita en estos momentos tan difíciles. Su luz y su amor han tocado el corazón de toda la comunidad artística, recordándonos su invaluable contribución como madre, pedagoga, actriz, dramaturga y gestora cultural.

Anita fue una madre ejemplar para sus hijos y para miles de niños y niñas en comunidades de Bolivia y más allá. Su labor empoderó a mujeres desde sus raíces, llevando el teatro a los lugares más lejanos. Gracias a toda la comunidad que dejó en Teatro Trono, el legado artístico de Iván y Anita sigue vivo en nuestros corazones. El Teatro Trono agradece eternamente a Anita, por sus enseñanzas y todo el amor que entregó a tantas generaciones artísticas teatrales.

23 social science students took an unforgettable trip to Kenya! 🇰🇪✨

They met with the amazing Nafsi youth to dive deep into the inequalities in Kenya and reflect on what connects—and separates—their worlds 🌍

Thanks to their cultural guides, they explored the rich Kenyan traditions and even found surprising connections to Danish culture! 🤝

Their final project? Merging these cultures into powerful pictures that tell their journy! As one student put it: "Getting to know our guides personally helped us learn so much more than just the usual facts about other cultures." 💬✨
