And that’s a wrap!! We are so proud of our youth takeover leaders this summer for bringing the community together to innovate, create, and imagine. As young leaders, their creativity inspires us to imagine a world where people of all backgrounds can be changemakers and innovators. From long hours at Ethós meticulously planning the youth takeover, to lunches at Tractor, to stressing about last minute tasks, this group grew close, gained invaluable leadership skills, and built unforgettable memories. We wish them the best in their endeavours , and can’t wait to see what change they bring to Ethós and other communities in the future! Until next year! Xoxo, Ethós Youth Takeover Team, signing off.

Ethós Lab was honoured to welcome Whitecaps FC legend Carl Valentine on the final day of our week-long Youth Takeover Pop-Up for a truly special moment: the unveiling of the Whitecaps FC Black History Month Jersey. ⚽️🖤

Whitecaps FC has been a long-standing sponsor and supporter of the Ethós Lab community, and receiving this jersey was a meaningful reminder of the importance of celebrating diversity, honouring Black history, and championing equity both on and off the field.

In this video, Zoya Reebye speaks with Carl Valentine to hear his reflections, wisdom, and advice for the next generation.

Welcome to our newest series: Into the World of Atlanthos, where we will share the Ethós lab lore! Meet the defender, Octo. He is the defender and one of the founders of Atlanthos. He keeps the city safe from cons. Atlanthos is Ethos Lab’s afrofuturistic world and inspires much of our programming. For example, with our summer Dice & Design Camp, youth embarked on an immersive storytelling adventure, much like a traditional DnD game, inspired by Atlanthos. Join Ethos Lab TODAY!
