Today is Truth and Reconciliation Day, and as we take the day to reflect and continue our learning, we'd also like to share the One Day's Pay campaign.

One Day's Pay encourages folks to donate one day's pay, or whatever you can afford, to show support for Indigenous-led organizations. The 2026 partner charities are:

Sacred Earth, a national organization working towards climate solutions that centre indigenous rights, cultural resilience, healing from colonization and ecological balance for human and non-human kin.

Clan Mothers Healing Village and Knowledge Centre, located in southern Manitoba, and providing long-term, land-based healing programs for indigenous women and two-spirit relatives suffering from multigenerational systemic trauma, violence, sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Xwaaqw'um works on Saltspring Island to restore and protect the waters of Xwaaqw’um while revitalizing Indigenous knowledge, culture, and stewardship.

We'd encourage you today to take part in the One Day's Pay campaign and show your support for these amazing organizations doing such important work.

Sometimes it's those surprise interactions that leave a lasting impression! Meet Elaine, a volunteer with Food Stash for 6 years, who was floored meeting David all those years ago.

If you'd like to celebrate 10 years of preventing good food from going to waste then you should join us on November 10th at The Park Theatre for a screening of Just Eat It. This acclaimed documentary follows a couple as they discover the reality of what is happening to a lot our food.

Where would we be without our partners?! Food donors like Whole Foods Market Canada let us support 53 other charities' food programs. They make it possible to pack 110 customized boxes of food each week. With the food they donate, we help people get access to good food.

We want to give a shoutout to all our food donors for making our impact possible!

Some things never change✨ like the impact of food waste on our climate, providing dignified food access and cost that comes along with food recovery.
