Meet Mateo, an energetic 2 year old from Peru. 😄

Mateo's parents, William and Tamara, knew their son would be born with a cleft condition and were prepared to face the challenges together as a family.

When they visited Operation Smile Peru, caring volunteers provided them with guidance and support, and Mateo received his very first surgery at 6 months old.

He treats cavities, performs extractions and provides dental care to improve the function and quality of life for children with cleft conditions.

While access to dental care remains limited for many patients in Kenya and beyond, it's compassionate health care providers like Jay who help bridge the gaps in oral health accessibility. 💫

Amy's mother learned her daughter would be born with a cleft condition while she was still pregnant. Her gynecologist informed her of Operation Smile Guatemala, and from that moment on, Amy's family stayed connected with our compassionate volunteers to receive comprehensive care.

When Amy was 8 months old, she finally received her long-awaited cleft lip surgery. Today, because of you, her family is overjoyed to know Amy has a chance at a brighter future! 💙
