Health professionals play an important role in preventing intimate partner violence (IPV) by recognizing the risk factors and knowing how to respond appropriately.

Join us next month for a webinar hosted in collaboration with other health regulatory colleges.

The session will:

➡️Examine the role of regulated professionals in recognizing risk and responding appropriately to IPV
➡️Increase awareness of risk factors associated with IPV, including aging, substance use, declining physical, cognitive and mental health, family dynamics and access to fi****ms
➡️Explore approaches to IPV risk assessment in practice
➡️Learn about reporting obligations and privacy considerations, including guidance informed by the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario

Does your liability insurance meet requirements?

To practice physiotherapy in Ontario, you must have liability insurance that includes:

✅A minimum coverage of $5 million dollars for the annual policy period
✅Coverage for your entire practice (including any controlled acts you perform)
✅A liability limit of at least $5 million dollars per incident
✅No additional terms, conditions or exclusions, other than standard
✅No deductible
✅Tail insurance for a minimum of 10 years
