As we celebrate the Feast of the Visitation, we are reminded of how Mary responded with love, compassion, and urgency when Elizabeth needed her. Today, we are called to do the same.

Today, we give thanks for the women who shape our lives with courage, sacrifice, tenderness, and unwavering love.

In this month dedicated to the Blessed Mother, we also give thanks for you. For 50 years, your compassion has helped mothers, families, and individuals across our community through ShareLife-funded agencies — reminding those facing difficult moments that they are not alone.

Today, we honour mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, caregivers, mentors, and all the women whose love continues to shape our lives and communities.

Parishes across our archdiocese are holding a special collection to support the work of ShareLife-funded agencies—and today, we also mark the World Day of Prayer for Vocations and Good Shepherd Sunday.

Through your sacrificial gift, you are helping form future priests at St. Augustine’s Seminary and Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary. They will one day shepherd our parishes, walk with families through life’s most important moments, and bring Christ to our communities.
