Life is bigger than cancer

At the Canadian Cancer Society, we know that cancer can change a lot of things. But we also know that for people with cancer and their families, life is more than a diagnosis. That’s why we are always looking for ways to improve the cancer experience by helping people live longer and enhancing their quality of life. We’re here to help and support people to live their lives more fully. Because we believe that life is bigger than cancer.

We are a collective of people united by the same goals. This includes people with cancer, their families, friends and healthcare teams, as well as donors, scientists, advocates, volunteers and partner organizations right here in Northeastern Ontario.

We know that working together is the only way we can achieve all that we do. We are the only national charitable organization dedicated to supporting all aspects of cancer: we fund groundbreaking research, provide trusted information about cancer, offer programs and services to help people with cancer and their families cope, and advocate to governments for important social change.

With the help of thousands of Canadians from across the country – like you – we are a force-for-life in the face of cancer.
