A great day for housing affordability! 🎉🏡

ONPHA was pleased to be invited to attend yesterday’s announcement, which builds on years of hard work and advocacy to position community housing as a key part of the solution to Canada’s housing challenges.

Prime Minister Mark Carney announced $2.7 billion in federal investment for Toronto to support 18 housing projects, with 80% expected to be underway by the end of the year.

The setting could not have been more fitting, with the GO Train, a busy transit corridor, and the every day activity of a growing city providing a backdrop to the announcement. 🏙️ It was a powerful reminder that housing growth depends on the infrastructure, partnerships, and people that make communities work.

It was encouraging to see leaders from multiple levels of government, alongside housing providers, including ONPHA members, united around a shared commitment to building more affordable homes. 🏗️

Congratulations to all involved in bringing together multiple initiatives and partners to deliver the scale, collaboration, and speed required to make a meaningful impact on housing affordability.🎉

How many ONPHA Conference tees does it take to become a conference veteran? 👕👀

Just ask Pam Page! After more than 30 years with ONPHA, Pam has attended her share of conferences and she’s collected a few T-shirts (and plenty of memories) along the way.

Since 1988, the ONPHA Conference has brought the sector together for meaningful connections, learning, and conversations that matter. Each year, we build on that legacy with new ideas, new experiences, and fresh ways to connect.

Whether you’re a longtime attendee or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you to Toronto from Oct 29-31.
