Happy Pride Month to all our Two-Spirit kin, girls, g**s, theys, Indigiq***rs, and trans community members! 🏳️‍🌈✨

As trans and q***r communities continue to face discrimination and harmful policies, supporting and uplifting our 2SLGBTQ+ relatives is more important than ever.

Did you know June is both Pride Month AND National Indigenous History Month? That means we’ve got double the reason to show up and show out for our communities! 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎

Hey Inuvik! 🥰 This is your reminder that applications for the first cohort of IYR’s Northern Policy School are open, but don’t wait too long to apply, the application deadline is May 31st!

The Northern Policy School is a new program within The Centre for Indigenous Policy and Research (CIPR) at Indigenous Youth Roots (IYR). Created in collaboration with Northern Indigenous youth, the program is designed to build skills, connections, and confidence in policy, leadership and community change.
Rooted in community and Northern realities, this week-long, in-person program invites Indigenous youth to explore how policy can support self-determination, advocacy, and community wellness.

The program is open to Indigenous youth (18-29) located in Inuvik, NT, who are interested in learning more about policy, advocacy, and meaningful change. We encourage any interested youth to apply; no prior experience is required to take this program. Just bring your curiosity, commitment, and willingness to learn!

Don’t forget, applications are only open until May 31st. 💗
