Big change starts with a shared commitment. 🌍✨

Today is - a nationwide movement focused on community action and showing up for one another. Here at Good Neighbours Canada, we’re looking at how our incredible Canadian community can show up for our global family. 🤝

Founded in South Korea in 1991, Good Neighbours now works in over 50 countries, empowering more than 8 million people to transform their own communities. Today, we are asking you to join us in supporting our international programs.

In cooperation with our global Good Neighbours partners, GNCA works directly with communities to advance UN Sustainable Development Goals - pursuing children’s rights, education, gender equality, responding to emergency crises and enhancing wellbeing for the most vulnerable and marginalized groups with long term solutions at front of mind.

Your generosity today directly funds sustainable, community-driven change worldwide. Let’s prove what we can achieve when we work together. 💚

On this , our hearts and actions are with the millions of people worldwide who have been forced to leave their homes behind due to disaster, conflict, and persecution.

At Good Neighbours Canada, we firmly believe that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a secure place to call home. 🏠💚🌍

Let's work hand-in-hand to foster communities that embrace, support, and fully include displaced and marginalized people.

🏅 Proud to share: Good Neighbours Canada holds the Accreditation Trustmark.

Accreditation isn't a one-time badge - it's an ongoing commitment to high standards of governance, financial accountability, and transparency.

That foundation is what has allowed us to establish trust amongst granting bodies and donors, driving programs local and international that empower communities to sustainable self-reliance.

It means the communities we serve, the donors who believe in us, and the volunteers who give their time can have full confidence in how we operate. Imagine Canada Standards is the only national accreditation framework built by nonprofits, for nonprofits - and we're proud to be part of it.

Strong Foundation. Stronger Impact. 💪

We invite other nonprofits to join Good Neighbours Canada in strengthening the sector, and growing our ability to lead and deliver impact: imaginecanada.ca/strongerimpact

Clean water changes lives 💧
In Chiwena Village in Zambia, families once relied on distant and unsafe water sources. Today, that story is changing for Chiwena’s 1,800+ residents.
Through community engagement and fundraising efforts, what begins with identifying a need grows into something life changing - the construction of boreholes that bring clean, reliable water closer to home.
Since 2017, 11 boreholes have been built in Zambia through the support of Canadian donors, helping improve access to safe water, strengthen sanitation, and support healthier futures.
Clean water means fewer waterborne illnesses, better hygiene, and more time for children to be in school instead of walking long distances for water.
Many communities are still in need - every dollar counts and you can help!
💧 $5,000 can build one well
💧 $10,000 will help build two more wells this year

📍
Based in Toronto, Canada, Good Neighbours Canada(GNCA) works to create meaningful change across six key areas: child sponsorship, health, education, clean water, social enterprise, and emergency relief.

With the support of Canadians, more than 600 children in Cameroon and the Dominican Republic are gaining better access to nutritious meals, education, basic healthcare, and safe and supportive environments that strengthen their wellbeing.

Health and education initiatives include a 3-year menstrual health and hygiene project in partnership with Good Neighbors Cameroon and funded by Global Affairs Canada.

The project impacts over 3,000 community members in Cameroon’s rural Far North and empowers women and girls to manage their periods with dignity, become decision makers and mentors in their community, and develop sustainable revenue-generation through the fabrication of reusable menstrual pads.

Our social enterprise program, Goods4Causes, provides income generation for equity-deserving handcraft artisans worldwide.

Through the global Good Neighbors network, GNCA has supported over 8000 households in times of crisis, providing essential needs and helping to rebuild homes and lives.

And locally, GNCA provides support to immigrant seniors as well as families raising children with developmental disabilities, empowering social inclusion along with physical and mental well being.

Together, we are creating Good Change for the World 😊
