Had a great pleasure of speaking with leaders of the Canadian Multicultural Council - Asians in Ontario, and paying respect to their works highlighting Asian heritages, through which they make awesome contributions in Ontario to advancing friendship among diverse communities. It was also so nice to learn from them about the genesis of this wonderful body of amity, as well as to discuss with these distinguished community leaders about how we can collaborate in the future. The evening also served as an opportunity for me to express my sense of appreciation for the CMC-AIO's compassionate fundraising activity in 2011 for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami. Thank you so much!

It was a deeply memorable and distinguished evening to attend the dinner hosted by Japanese Consul General Matsunaga, where honored representatives of the Canadian Multicultural Council – Asians in Ontario gathered to enjoy an exquisite, seasonal Japanese multi-course menu skillfully prepared by Chef Yuji Sugiyama. We extend our sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality and look forward to fruitful collaborations in the near future.

Dear CMC members & friends

Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Nepal and Tibet affected by the devastating floods. We stand in solidarity with our fellow communities during this very difficult time.

We extend our deepest sympathy and support to the Nepalese and Tibetan communities, especially NCCS (Nepalese Canadian Community Services) and the Canadian Tibetan Association of Ontario, both valued members of CMC-AO. May those affected find safety, strength, and comfort, and may relief and recovery reach the impacted communities soon.

With heartfelt solidarity,

Melinda Manlapaz
