September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as well as Orange Shirt Day – Every Child Matters.

Today we pause to acknowledge the profound violence, hurt, and injustices inflicted upon Indigenous Peoples across Canada. We also reflect on the generational trauma that has followed in the wake of these acts of abuse and find ways to meaningfully engage in reconciliation.

To learn more about how you can honour this important day of listening and learning, we encourage you to explore the 150 Acts of Reconciliation. Many of these are small, everyday acts that average Canadians can undertake, but others are more provocative, encouraging people to think about Indigenous-settler relationships in new ways.
