Any residents in Canada who can work with the company for the above objectives or
anyone who wish to support the company by any means can become a member. Women from all professions chosen from Canada's multi-cultural mosaic, who have endeavored persevered and excelled in their personal domains are invited by Dancing Damsels, each year, to celebrate International Women's Day. Their achievements are highlighted, they are invited to the stage and given DD Women's Achiever Awards for excellence and achievement in their field. Doctors, engineers, artists, volunteers, social workers, entrepreneurs and politicians have graced the Dancing Damsels stage with recognition, joy and pride. We are not a women's liberation group but we proudly announce, "Look we are women, look at what we have accomplished. Ours are the hands that rock the cradles and shape the futures. We women are an awesome force and we do not wish to be ignored, subjugated or deprived". Dancing Damsels acknowledges women committed to promulgation of the fine arts and who shower grace and finesse around them. All artists - dancers, musicians, poets journeying through the magical world of entertainment are recognized and their performances are highlighted annually in October at the DD Dance Fest. They are invited to showcase their individual or group talents, reiterating how women performers brighten up our lives with beauty, wonder and a sense of awe. The DD Dance Fest is indeed "an evening of beauty and a joy forever". Dancing Damsels also celebrates Motherhood on Mother's Day with a Photo Contest, and a DD Appreciation Party and Dinner for DD Women Achievers, their supporters and sponsors, as well as a DD Family Picnic in July to celebrate Family with a Food Contest as the main attraction. Having established themselves Dancing Damsels is now eager to expand their horizons to serving the needy. The realities of life cannot be ignored and Dancing Damsels is moving towards adding a new chapter devoted to helping women in need, lonely seniors craving companionship and assistance, sick women in hospitals needing another caring presence, and terminal patients who call out for comfort and strong hands to hold in their final moments. This vital service can be provided only with assistance from a big team of volunteers. Volunteers, devoting their precious time to bring a different meaning of peace to the unfortunate, united in the goal to make the world a better and protected place for all women to live and thrive in.
