Our storytime took us under the sea with The Rainbow Fish! Children learned about friendship, kindness, and sharing through the story and a fun creative activity.

We also learned about animals in Indigenous stories and teachings.

Discovering Cultures Through Stories and Activities

🏗️ Little STEAM Explorers: Strong & Stable Structures! 🚗

How can we build a structure that doesn’t easily fall down? 🤔

Parents and children worked together to build and test different structures. They discovered that a wide base can help make a structure stronger and more stable! ✨

🐛 Little Reading Tipi brought “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” to life! The children followed the caterpillar’s journey and explored our pollinator-friendly garden, discovering plants, flowers, and nature around us. 🦋

🌻 We also explored Indigenous foods and learned about traditional ingredients and their connections to culture, community, and the land. 🌽

A fun-filled session of stories, nature, discovery, and learning! ✨

🌳Little STEAM Explorer 🎋

Outdoor Adventures

Children explored the outdoor environment by observing, touching, and smelling different plants. They used their senses to learn about nature, showed curiosity, and shared their discoveries with peers. The experience also included mindfulness activities, such as animal Yoga poses, which supported focus, balance, and a calm connection with the natural world.

🌱 **Garden to Table: Veggie Pizza!** 🍕

Our summer campers explored our pollinator-friendly garden, harvested fresh basil and cherry tomatoes, and used the ingredients to create their own veggie pizzas. 🍅🌿

This garden-to-table experience allowed children to explore how plants grow, learn about harvesting, and discover the journey of food from the garden to their plates. 🌱✨

🚀 Out of This World – Space Rock Cookies! 🍪

🌠 Our summer campers had so much fun making their own Space Rock Cookies! They mixed the ingredients, shaped their cookies, and decorated them to look like space rocks. ✨

After creating their space-themed treats, the children were excited to taste and enjoy their delicious creations! 🚀🍪

🌱 Little Hands, Big Garden Adventures! 🪴

🌿 Our little gardeners carefully transplanted young plants into their new pots! 🪴 They learned that plants need healthy soil, sunshine, water, and gentle care to grow strong. ☀️💧

Each child brought their plant home to continue caring for it and watch it grow over time. This hands-on experience helped build responsibility, patience, and a love for nature. 💚🌱
