I'm just a humble lover of our Filipino Art and Culture and aims to promote best sportmanship with the guidance of our Elders in the WOTBAG system from whom I owe so much lasting gratitude. I thank so much GM Monie Velez, Master Oliver Mag-uyon, Master Kirt Velez, Chester, Carl and others for patiently teaching me during my 2 weeks training in Cebu last July 2017. I promise to keep your good counsel sacred always in my life.

Our Journey and Story

This Page is for all Filipino Martial Artists, especially those from the Balintawak System.

Inspired and motivated by great men like Master Ike Sepulveda, Master Roy Ilogon, Master Oliver Mag-uyon, Master Kirt Velez, Grandmaster Nene Gaabucayan, Grandmaster Monie Velez, and many more, I'm just a humble passionate practitioner of the World Original Teovel’s Balintawak Arnis Group (WOTBAG) who resides in the eastern side of the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario Canada.

Back home in Mindanao, we literally learned and lived how to survive. Survival was part of our daily life in a world riddled by tribal conflicts, political turmoil, religious piety and fanaticism, fueled by inextinguishable fe**sh to assert power and of greed.

Because WOTBAG was born in the slums of Cebu, I saw in it the straightforwardness, the linear and economical system of movements. The more I train in its intricate system of movements, the more I learned about the interwoven philosophical principles that are interconnected with special skills, tremendous power, stick placements, forms, and balance. I love this Art so much!
