There is nothing quite like the magic of Humber Arboretum's nature day camp. With over 100 hectares of garden and trails kids got to try new activities, making lifelong friends, and enjoying the great outdoors.🌲✨

Here is a special note from one Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancersummer camp attendee:

"Thank you to Kids Up Front for giving me the chance to go to camp—I had so much fun, made great memories and got to try new things. Please consider donating so that more children can have the same amazing experience and enjoy a special week at camp too!"

Your support helps send deserving youth like Lukas to camp every single summer. Thank you to our donors for making these experiences possible! ❤️

Thanks to a generous ticket donation from Mirvish Productions and CAA South Central Ontario, 14 The Children's Book Bank Canada ambassadors got to experience the high-energy production of And Juliet Broadway at the Royal Alexandria Theatre! Can you believe that this show has been runing since December of last year?

Thank you for bringing so much joy and inspiration to our youth Mirvish Productions and CAA! 🌟

Here's what some of the participants had to say:

"I was very happy to attend my first play, “&Juliet” with the Childrens Book Bank team. It was such a lovely experience and I was super stunned with the combined singing and dance choreography! Since it was a live performance I didn’t expect it to be as captivating as a film would be, as it would be in real-time, but I was proven wrong. The attention to detail with the stage decoration, lighting and outfits made the performance really engaging. The story was very light and humorous which contrasted nicely with the original. Loved the play."

"I am one of the lucky individuals who was granted the opportunity to attend a showing of the musical, “& Juliet”! The experience was amazing, and I had a wonderful time. This was my first time at a play and it completely exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere of the theatre was beautiful, and the passion from the audience in the room only created a more magical experience. Through the roars of laughter and audience reactions, it was easy to immediately engage and immerse into the story. The cast is so talented, the songs are curated perfectly, and the overall performances are absolutely worth watching! My favourite part of the show was experiencing the character’s development arcs as they undergo a conflicting journey and most importantly, find ways to resolve these problems by following their hearts desires. The play emphasizes the importance of re-writing your own path to reflect the ways you want to live, without the opinions of others, serving as a self reflection to be authentically true to yourself. I believe experiences like this are important as they spark creativity, teach valuable and powerful lessons about the world, as well as allow audiences to gather a takeaway from entertaining performances like this one!"

Serving kids and opening doors to incredible opportunities is a mission that beautifully crosses borders. We teamed up with our sister organizations, Tickets For Kids and the Play with Purpose Fund, to bring a night out watching woman's baskteball league, The Toronto Tempo!🏀🔥

Thanks to this wonderful collaboration, families from Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer, Native Child & Family Services of Toronto, Chai Lifeline Canada, Toronto Catholic District School Board, Toronto Community Housing and more got to experience the electric energy. Here is what families who attended had to say:

"This was such a wonderful game - although they lost, it was close for each quarter and it kept us on our toes! Myrella has been asking to play basketball and we plan to sign her up next year- wouldn’t you know it, the team she wants to join (Lindsay Wildcats) were there to play the halftime! It was the U13s so I actually knew a lot of the parents. I love that she not only got to see strong women playing the game but that she was able to see her own town's girls play - it really brought it closer to home. This meant a lot to both of us, thanks again."
~ OPACC ticket recipient.

"My daughter was so excited to be attending the game and then she saw the seats and then she got to see some of her favourite Raptors there. This made her whole day. Thanks so much for this opportunity." ~ Ticket recepient.
