🏈Challenge accepted, Calgary Food Bank 😏

We may be known for our green jerseys, but when it comes to feeding our neighbours, we bleed community spirit.

A huge thank you to Rider Nation for raising 24,628 lbs of food at the Purolator Tackle Hunger game last weekend. Now it's up to the Saskatchewan Roughriders to show what we're made of.

What's at stake? The food bank CEO of the losing football team has to wear the winning team's jersey for a day - and of course, mad bragging rights!

If there's one thing we know, it's that Saskatchewan loves a good challenge and we have some thoughts about who will be wearing whose jersey... 😉💚

Let's go Riders!

We are excited to announce that Mary Weimer has been appointed CEO of the Regina Food Bank, effective July 13, 2026.

Mary brings nearly three decades of executive leadership experience across entrepreneurship, financial services, and retail, along with a deep commitment to Regina and the people who call it home.

Many in our community will already know Mary through her leadership roles at Conexus Credit Union, Harvard Developments, and Hillberg & Berk, as well as her involvement with local boards and community organizations, including the Regina Food Bank.

Mary has been a long-standing supporter of the Food Bank, as a donor and as part of our Capital Campaign Committee in 2024 which was instrumental in making our Community Food Hub a reality.

As we look ahead, we're excited to welcome a leader who shares our belief that everyone deserves access to food with dignity. The Board of Directors is confident that Mary will build on the strong foundation established by our team, volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters while helping us continue to grow our impact in the community.

She shares: "Food security is foundational to individual wellbeing, to stability, and to the kind of community we want Regina to be. I am honoured to lead an organization that takes that responsibility seriously, and excited to work with a talented team and committed board to build on the incredible work already underway."

Please join us in extending Mary a warm welcome to the Regina Food Bank!

K+S Potash Canada doesn’t just give, they invest in their community. 💙

Throwing it back to when K+S stepped up as the lead sponsor of our School Food Program. Their $500,000 investment has put thousands of lunches and snack packs into the hands of children across this city, meaning over 2,000 students start their school day with a full stomach and a real shot at reaching their potential. K+S understands something that often gets overlooked: a kid who isn't hungry is a kid who can learn, grow, and dream a little bigger.

That investment also brought a brand-new play structure to life at the BMO ASAHTOWIKAMIK Food Hub, a place where families can come together, breathe, and feel at home.

A healthier, kinder Regina starts here. Thank you, K+S Potash Canada. 🌱

AGT Foods Canada has spent decades feeding the world from right here in Regina. 🌾

Their global reach stretches across continents, but their commitment to home hasn't gone anywhere. The AGT Pasta Section at the BMO ASAHTOWIKAMIK Community Food Hub distributes over 50,000 packages of rice and pasta every year, all donated by AGT, and stocked right here for neighbours in our own community.

From producer to the world, and right back to Regina. There's something really special about that.

Thank you, AGT Foods. 💛

Tânisi tawâw pîhtokwê. You are welcome here. ❤️

Those three words are the spirit behind the BMO ASAHTOWIKAMIK Community Food Hub, and it shows in everything the space has become. Thanks to BMO's $1 million investment, 1881 Broad St has been transformed into something Regina is proud to have right in the heart of downtown. A revitalized, welcoming space where clients can shop for the food their family actually needs, just like a grocery store.

In 2025 alone, 9,240 families came through those doors. Traditional foods like buffalo and bannock are finding their way back to Regina students through Food Sovereignty initiatives. Every Monday, people gather for financial and nutritional literacy programs. Thousands of clients and hundreds of volunteers have come through the doors and made the space their own.

A lot can change when someone genuinely feels welcome. Thank you, BMO Financial Group!

Look what we did together! 💚

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and the matching support of Interpro Pipe & Steel, our Spring Food Drive raised $53,531.

That’s 160,593 meals for families and children in need in our community!

To everyone who generously donated or shared: thank you. Your kindness made a real difference!

And to Interpro, thank you for doubling that impact and inspiring generosity to secure more meals on our neighbours' tables.
