Today, September 30, SaskCulture recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day as a time to learn about the true impacts of residential schools, reflect on the change still needed, and commit to meaningful action.

This day also serves as a reminder that listening, learning, and taking action toward Reconciliation must continue every day.

We honour the Children who never returned home, along with Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities.

While this day is important, the commitment to learning and meaningful action must continue year-round.
