Thanksgiving can bring a mix of emotions for loss families. There may be gratitude for the people gathered around the table, while also feeling the ache of someone missing from it.

Honouring your baby might look like lighting a candle, setting a place at the table, sharing their name, making their favourite family tradition part of the day, or simply allowing yourself to feel whatever comes.

There is no right or wrong way to carry your baby with you through the holidays. You can be thankful for what you have and still grieve for who you wish was here. Your baby belongs in your story, and their memory belongs at your table.

On October 15, we invite you to join families around the world for the Wave of Light, a moment to honour and remember the babies who are forever loved and forever missed.

At 7 PM local time, light a candle in memory of a baby gone too soon. As candles are lit across time zones, a wave of light travels around the world, reminding loss families that they are not alone in their grief or their love.

Whether you light a candle for your own baby, a loved one's child, or in support of a family who has experienced loss, every light is a reminder that these little lives matter.

As loss parents ourselves, we know how much it means to have our babies remembered.

Baby Loss Awareness Week

This week, we hold space for the babies who are missing from our arms, the families who carry them in their hearts, and the grief that so often goes unseen.

Whether your loss happened recently or years ago, whether your journey included miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, or infant loss, you and your baby matter.

As loss parents ourselves, we know that love doesn't end with goodbye. This week, and always, we remember with you.

Together, let's make space for every story, honour every baby, and remind every loss parent that they are not alone.

There are losses that are incredibly difficult to explain to people who have never experienced them.

Termination for medical reasons, or TFMR, can be one of them.

These were wanted pregnancies. Wanted babies. Babies whose parents may have spent weeks or months dreaming about who they would become.

Sometimes, devastating medical news leaves parents facing an impossible decision, one they never imagined they would have to make.

Choosing TFMR does not mean there was a lack of love. For many parents, the decision was made because of love. Because they wanted to protect their baby from suffering. Because the circumstances left them with no choice that felt fair or right. And then they grieve.

They may grieve privately. They may feel misunderstood. They may carry questions, guilt, sadness and love all at once.

This Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we want TFMR parents to know:
We see you.
Your baby was wanted.
Your baby was loved.
Your loss is real.
And you belong in this conversation.

White pumpkins have become a quiet symbol of remembrance within the pregnancy and infant loss community.

For many loss families, they represent the babies who may not have had the chance to grow up, but whose lives were deeply loved and whose memories remain.

A white pumpkin can hold so much meaning, remembrance, innocence, love, hope and the lasting presence of a baby who is no longer here.

Behind every white pumpkin may be a name whispered often, a due date remembered, a tiny life imagined, or a story that changed a family forever.

This October, we hope you'll remember that for some families, they represent so much more than fall.
They represent a baby.
