Twinkle Star Project

Twinkle Star Project Remembering babies gone too soon. Our vision and mission is to provide pregnancy support to families facing pregnancy loss in Saskatchewan.

The Twinkle Star Project was created in memory of Baby Sebastian, who was born still to his mother, Jennifer Lea, in December of 2016. Leaving the hospital with empty arms and a broken heart, Jen knew she’d find a way to transform her love for Seb into a project that would both give back to the community and help raise pregnancy loss awareness. Since the creation of the Twinkle Star Project in the

Spring of 2017, our volunteer-run team has grown to include four more women, each of whom provides their own invaluable skill-set and motivation for getting involved. We have an immediate goal of providing our local hospitals in Regina, Saskatchewan, with handmade baby baskets and other mementos honouring babies lost in the first and second trimester, while raising awareness around pregnancy loss, beginning in Summer 2017. While the immediate goal is to reach families in Regina, Saskatchewan, we have high hopes of expanding beyond our southern Prairie community to reach other areas in need. Currently, we have incorporated charity status, with plans to become a registered charitable organization in the near future. Please like our page for updates on all of our ventures and follow along for more information on the incredible things that we are doing to honour babies gone too soon. Happy Pride Month!

At Twinkle Star Project, we believe that grief has no gender, no labels, and no boundaries. Every family deserves compassionate support, understanding, and a safe space to remember the babies they love and miss.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and love of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and families in our community. We are committed to creating an inclusive space where all parents, partners, and families feel welcomed, supported, and seen.

Because every baby matters. Every family matters. Always.

As June arrives, we take a moment to lovingly honour the babies remembered during this time.

Those with birthdates, estimated due dates, or anniversary dates this month, each life held, each name cherished always remembered.

If you feel comfortable, we invite you to share your baby's name(s) and the dates that hold meaning for you in the comments. It would be an honour to acknowledge and remember them alongside you.

You are not alone.
Your baby matters.
Your love continues.

This week, we honour the nurses who support families through the unimaginable realities of perinatal loss.

To the nurses who hold space in moments of heartbreak, speak gently through grief, and provide compassionate care during life-changing loss, thank you.

Thank you for the quiet acts of kindness, the comfort you bring, and the care you provide to grieving families navigating some of their hardest days.

Your compassion leaves lasting footprints on the hearts of the families you care for.
This week, we see you.
We thank you.
We celebrate you.

Happy Nurses’ Week!

To the mothers carrying love and loss side by side, we see you.
Bereaved motherhood is filled with contradictions.
Grief and gratitude.
Heartbreak and deep love.
Strength and softness.
Your baby changed you forever, and their life continues to matter through the love you carry every day.

Today, and every day, we honour bereaved mothers and remember the babies who should be here.

Today can hold so many different emotions.
Love. Grief. Longing. Anger. Tenderness. Emptiness. Memories.

To every parent carrying the loss of a baby, whether your pregnancy ended too soon, your baby was stillborn, or your child lived for moments or years. We are holding space for you today.

Your motherhood and parenthood matter.
Your baby is remembered.
And your love continues, always.

If you would like to, we invite you to share your baby’s name in the comments in honour of Mother’s Day.
